Join Volunteer Lawyers for Justice (VLJ) from the comfort of your own home for a virtual wine tasting class!
For $150, you'll get a box shipped right to your door with three full bottles of wine - that's enough for multiple people to enjoy! Then, join us on Zoom on February 28 from 7:00- 8:30 p.m. to experience a private wine-tasting workshop.
Led by a wine expert, the workshop will teach the basics of wine, and participants will taste exquisite bottles from around the world. Join us for a fun and educational event that will leave you with a newfound appreciation for wine!
The proceeds from this event will help VLJ ensure access to justice for people experiencing poverty in New Jersey.
Please note that there are certain state and local zip restrictions for wine shipment. Namely: AL, DE, KY, ME, MN, MS, MT, NM, SD, UT, MI. If you are in these states or the restricted area, we'll order wines at a local store and have it delivered to you via Instacart/Drizly to the address if it's available, or we will send you a physical gift card to reimburse you for your wine purchases, along with a wine buying guide so you can participate. Please note that when we deliver through Drizly or Instacart, there will be a corresponding $15-20 fee for redelivery after a failed attempt.
About the Instructor
Andrew Harwood has worked in nearly every facet of the wine industry over the last ten years. His love of wine started while working in a number of the country's best dining rooms. Yet his true passion was discovered while making wine in Hungary, France, and California.
After spending two years as the Assistant Wine Director at Picholine in Manhattan, he decided he wanted to experience the production end of the industry. He spent 1997 in the vineyards of Tokaj, Hungary and then went on to earn his Master of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University. In addition to making wine, he was involved in sales & marketing and obtained intimate knowledge of the workings of a small winery. Through this he was able to better understand what really goes into a bottle of wine and how the "Marketing Machine" of many bigger wineries really drives the direction of the wine trade.
