ABOUT VOLUNTEER LAWYERS FOR JUSTICE
VLJ provides free legal services through nine programs that impacted 4,569 people in New Jersey last year. We serve low-income and marginalized people such as victims of human trafficking, veterans, children, women, and families.
Our staff of 21 is small but scrappy. We leverage our relationships and work with over 558 volunteer attorneys each year to serve our clients.
With $2.8 million in donated services last year, our donors get a more than 2:1 return on their investment in VLJ.
